HeROPA study
We are looking for participants to join a clinical trial that will investigate the efficacy and safety of a new medicine called HRO350 in patients with mild to moderate psoriasis.
You may be able to take part in the study if you are over 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis.
Taking part in the study includes 8 visits to the study clinic. The study medicine HRO350 and the study related procedures are free of charge and you will be able to claim your travel costs for the study visits.

Nasal sprays and a brief physical activity and stress management intervention in preventing and reducing Respiratory Tract Infections (RTI)
Integrated therapist and online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for depression in primary care

How to take part
You may be invited by letter, email, phone call or text if you meet the criteria for a study – look out for posters in the waiting room or call the surgery to volunteer – we would love to hear from you.
Do I have to take part?
No, it is completely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. Withdrawing from a study will not affect the quality of care you will receive.
Is our research safe and ethical?
All our research studies have been approved by the appropriate authorities and our research team are fully qualified and trained.
Some of our studies only involve gathering information. However if a medicinal product is offered, the potential risks and benefits will be explained by our doctors and nurses verbally and in writing so that patients have plenty of time to decide if they want to take part.

Dr Tim Johnson
Research lead & Principal Investigator
Dr Johnson leads the Heart of Bath Research Team with over 25 years experience working in phase 2, 3 and 4 clinical trials. He is dedicated to the safety of our patients and ensuring our research is carried out to the highest standards.
Dr Patrick Eavis
Principal Investigator & GP Champion
With over 25 years experience of commercial clinical trials in all major treatment areas, Dr Eavis is the GP Champion for the National Institute for Health Research, and also a past member of the local Local Research Ethics Committee.
Dr Helen Bigby
Principal Investigator (PI) /sub-Investigator(sub-I)
Dr Bigby is PI for academic and commercial studies.

Mary has extensive research experience in secondary and primary care. She regularly facilitates on NIHR (National Institution for Health and Care Research) communication skills workshop, has a link practitioner role between the NIHR and other GP practices in the West of England.
