Carers Information

There are a number of networks that can help you as a carer. These are:

The Care Network

www.banescarerscentre.org.uk

An independent charity and company limited by guarantee, funded mainly by Social Services and the Primary Care Trust to support informal Carers in Bath and North East Somerset. They have been working with Carers for over 10 years.

They offer practical information and the emotional support Carers need to make life easier for them and the person they care for. They signpost Carers to the appropriate local or national services, inform Carers of their rights and offer support where possible to enable people to get the services they need.

The Care Forum

www.thecareforum.org

The Care Forum is an independent voluntary and community sector infrastructure organisation. They work primarily across Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

What They Do

  • Support communication, consultation and networking with the voluntary and community sector (VCS)
  • Promote partnership working with the VCS
  • Empower adults and young people to voice issues about local social and community care services
  • Provide information and advice about voluntary and statutory sector health and well-being services

Support is also available from Social Services
