Closure of the prescription ordering direct (POD) service

Unfortunately, the POD service is being withdrawn completely across BANeS, Swindon and Wiltshire. From Sunday 21st April, Heart of Bath patients will no longer be able to access the service.

We have a dedicated prescription team within the surgery who will continue to process your prescription requests via the routes listed below.

  • using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
  • using the GP online system: SystmOnline
  • email bswicb.heartofbath@nhs.net
  • post to Oldfield Surgery, 45 Upper Oldfield Park, Bath BA2 3HT
  • drop your repeat request slip into the surgery

We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone.

Please avoid using the appointment triage forms to request your medication as it may take longer to process.

If you feel you are unable to order your own prescriptions or are the carer for somebody who is unable to order their own prescriptions, please ask your nominated pharmacy who can support you in ordering prescriptions.
